Ferrosilicon 75 is an iron alloy composed of iron and silicon. Ferrosilicon uses coke, quartz (or silica) as raw materials, and is made by electric furnace method. Because silicon and oxygen are easily compounded into SiO2, ferrosilicon is often used as a deoxidizer in steelmaking.

Ferrosilicon 75 uses:

Ferrosilicon is widely used in steelmaking, cast iron, low carbon

Ferroalloy production:

1. In the field of steelmaking, ferrosilicon is used as a deoxidizer and alloying agent to achieve the purpose of steep and diffusion deoxidation. Adding a certain amount of ferrosilicon to steel can improve the strength, hardness, elasticity and permeability of steel.

2. In cast iron, ferrosilicon is used as a ball grinding agent and an alloying agent, especially in ductile iron. Adding ferrosilicon to cast iron can prevent the formation of carbides and promote the precipitation and spheroidization of graphite. Then the mechanical ability can be the same as steel.

3. High silicon ferrosilicon can be used to produce low carbon reducing agent in ferroalloy industry.

4. In addition, ferrosilicon powder can be used as a suspension phase in the mineral processing industry and as a coating for welding electrodes in electrode manufacturing.
